Sarah Cooper, a comedian who has gone viral on social media in recent months for clips where she lip-syncs to bizarre statements made my President Donald Trump, has signed with WME.
Cooper has exploded in popularity amid increased TikTok consumption during the coronavirus pandemic. One of her most popular videos — in which she imitates Trump at a press conference where he suggested that people inject themselves with disinfectant and “powerful light” to treat the coronavirus — has nabbed over 20 million views across all platforms, Deadline reports. Cooper counts 1.3 million Twitter followers, 320,000 Instagram followers, 207,000 on TikTok, and 78,000 YouTube subscribers.
Deadline notes that Cooper has also earned the stated acclaim of celebrities like Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Stiller, Chrissy Teigen, Ellen DeGeneres, Bette Midler, and Jerry Seinfeld.
In addition to her video work, Cooper is the author of comedic books 100 Tricks to Appear Smart in Meetings and How To Be Successful Without Hurting Men’s Feelings. Her next book, set to be written in partnership with Audible Originals, is a comedic take on a classic Dale Carnegie tome.
